At Artcurial, “Epiphyte” is all about flower power
“Epiphyte” is the first exhibition presented by Artcurial this September. The iconic Champs-Élysée auction house invited ten emerging French and international floral artists to choose one major work from the Artcurial catalogue a initiate a dialogue through a creative floral composition. In so doing, artists like Pierre Banchereau (Maison Debeaulieu), Catalina Lainé, Nue Paris and Rica Araï meet the works of masters like Lucio Fontana, Giacometti, Théodore Géricault or Ettore Sottsass, in a exhibition curated by Sixitine Dubly. The opening, organized with a support of Perrier-Jouët and Château Dassault, was orchestrated by the chef Thierry Marx (whose new restaurant in collaboration with Ora Ito, MarXito, is set to open soon). The exhibition will be open until September 14th.
