Art Basel Paris Unfolds a Spectacular Edition at the Grand Palais
Directed by Clément Delépine, the 2025 edition of Art Basel Paris deepens the dialogue with the city itself. With 206 leading international galleries, including 180 in the Galleries section, and 65 exhibitors with a gallery in France, the fair highlights the strength and dynamism of the local gallery scene and artistic ecosystem. Cubism, Surrealism, Situationism, and many other movements were born in the French capital, and generations of artists, writers, and thinkers have shaped ideas there that have resonated far beyond the city.
This avant-garde spirit runs deep at the fair, with a vibrant line-up of established galleries, bold newcomers, and leading creators. Other highlights include the Public program, which will take place in nine iconic locations across the capital, as well as Art Basel Paris’ ties to the city’s creative industries, embodied in 2025 by the Oh La La! initiative, curated by Loïc Prigent. Another key event is the Conversations program, with Edward Enninful as guest curator for the day. At the opening, we ran into Almine Rech, Iván Argote, Jean-Charles de Castelbajac, Julien Creuzet, Jérôme Sans, and many others.
