Vernissage “Architecture and Body” by Benjamin Seroussi and David Tajchman
Benjamin Seroussi and David Tajchman, respectively director and architect, presented an exhibition entitled”Architecture et Corps” at the Galerie d’Architecture in Paris from 14 to 16 January 2015. A visual exhibition centered around 2 videos, KAPLINSKI and PARADOR, as well as photos taken from the 2 works, the structures made by David Tajchman’s team and a workshop space showing the preparatory work in the form of drawings and documents.
The two artists met a little less than 2 years ago around the idea of working with Kaplas to assemble around bodies. In fact, those of models Marie Meyer and Caroline de Maigret and singer Benjamin Clementine. A year later, they decided to shoot a new video called PARADOR, inspired by Graham Bell’s first flying tetrahedral structures, Leonardo da Vinci’s Vitruvian man or Icarus’ myth. These constructions, surrounding this time the dancer Olivier Mathieu and the model Katya Puschkina, wanted to resonate like a loving parade.
