Anna Maria Pierangeli’s style comes to life on the Antonio Marras runway
The core of Antonio Marras’ Women’s Spring/Summer 2025 fashion show was her, the actress who flew from Sardinia to America, winning the hearts of Hollywood and James Dean: Anna Maria Pierangeli. Going back in time, straight to the Fifties, the guests are welcomed in a jazz club atmosphere between Alghero and Acapulco, as dancers twirl to the sound of a piano and an Elvis lookalike host introduces the show.
The collection blends Marras’ dictates with Fifties-style inspirations. Cocktail dresses, jackets, skirts and shirts dare among bangs and charms, shining in Pierangeli’s favorite colors: ecru, black and sage green, with a touch of fluorescent. Prints vary from animalier, checked, jaquard and floral. The floral theme, above all, is a central point of the collection, as a tribute to the maritime and tropical dimension, made explicit in shirtdresses adorned with palm trees, men’s shorts with ton sur ton inflorescences. Among the most opulent pieces are definitely those in fluorescent hues, where A-line silhouette skirts are paired with a bomber jacket, strictly bright yellow.
The homage to the 1950s continues with eyeliners that dare in extension, knee-high sheer socks and flats. Minimal styling matches the maximalism of a collection that brings the dream of Old Hollywood to the present days, from Pierangeli to Marras. On the front row were: Rose Villain, Ariete, Kelly Rutherford, and Gene Gallagher.
