An Evening Dedicated to Triennale Milano’s Patrons, Between Cocktails, Shared Visions, and a Gospel Choir

Triennale Milano, Milan

Every December, as tradition has it, Triennale hosts an evening dedicated to its Patrons, the community of benefactors who accompany the Milanese institution with a level of engagement that’s rare in the Italian cultural landscape: private encounters, trips, studio visits, conversations that turn into ideas, and ideas that grow into projects. A heterogeneous, inquisitive network—perhaps the true “treasure” of Triennale Milano—that gathered the other night to celebrate upcoming activities and a shared vision for the holiday season.

Welcoming the guests, alongside Stefano Boeri, President of Triennale Milano, and Carla Morogallo, its General Director, were Marco Sammicheli, Director of the Triennale Milano Italian Design Museum; Damiano Gullì, Curator for Contemporary Art and the Public Program; Nina Bassoli, Curator for Architecture, Urban Regeneration and the City; and Umberto Angelini, Artistic Director of Triennale Milano Teatro.

The heart of the evening was the presentation of the 2026 program: an event conceived to explore the transformations unfolding across design, architecture, and the contemporary arts through exhibitions, dialogues, and opportunities for participation. The talk was followed by a cocktail reception set up in the beautiful Voce space, dedicated to experimentation in sound and music. It was an elegant yet unpretentious celebration, where the Patron Program’s Annual Report became an opportunity to measure not only the numbers, but the quality of a shared commitment. The soundtrack of the night: a moving gospel concert. It felt as though the collective voice of the choir gave musical form to what the Patrons represent for Triennale Milano—a community that supports, amplifies, and harmonizes.

A crescendo of a finale for an occasion that, year after year, confirms a simple truth: we need moments of celebration to remind ourselves that culture is not only programming, but also relationship.
