AMIRI Revives the Counterculture of the 1970s for a Dive into the Heart of Los Angeles
Inspired by the legendary Laurel Canyon neighbourhood, where the greatest rock stars of the 1970s settled in Los Angeles, AMIRI presents a new collection based on this iconic musical and social counterculture.
A large trompe l’oeil bookshelves, cosy leather armchairs, soft lighting and a lounge atmosphere: AMIRI knows how to craft immersive settings, and never strays far from classic Hollywood glamour. Imbued with nostalgia, the collection introduces and reinvents American tailoring and the brand’s classics: loose-fitting leather suits, flowing shirts, denim, delicately embroidered knitwear, western boots and a few revisited signature bags, such as the Honey or the East-West Pochette clutch. Going beyond a typically masculine or feminine line, Amiri brings the genders together through other, more androgynous categories: allure and nonchalance. This shared wardrobe features texture and warm tones, with burgundy, deep merlot, orange, sage green and bright blues.
Mike Amiri unveiled a timeless collection characterized by carefully controlled volumes and simple lines that remain as effective as ever. Alongside the fashion designer were Chris Brown, Jeff Goldblum, Khalid, Wisdom Kaye, Ronisia, Didi Stone and many others.
