Ami Unveils its 90s-Inspired Spring-Summer 2024 Collection
On Thursday 22 June, Ami invited friends of the House to the minimalist Tennis Club de Paris for the unveiling of its new spring-summer 2024 collection. Inspired by the 90s supermodel look, Alexandre Mattiussi’s proposal emphasizes the nobility of materials through simple and clean lines that avoid unnecessary frills. The Parisian designer, whose distinct European concept is internationally acclaimed, decided to embrace a minimalist style this season, returning to the catwalk with a line featuring refined tailored suits, sleek monochrome ensembles and sophisticated variations of sequins. The Ami silhouette is subtle yet chic, it distills a distinct kind of elegance that takes the form of classic little black dresses and structured leather jackets for the evening, and office wear looks that play on transparency for the day. The collection was an undisputed success that showcased the modernity of both men’s and women’s wardrobes. Essentially gender-neutral, the collection emphasises the uniqueness of each individual, expressed through elegant and yet pragmatic looks.
The show opened with a catwalk by French actor Vincent Cassel, followed by an all-star line-up including Catherine Deneuve, Leïla Bekhti, Benoît Magimel, Lena Mahfouf, Lily Chee, Moses Sumney, Kaytranada, Sarah Andelman, Sophie Fontanel, Jeanne Damas, Halle Bailey, Camille Jansen and many others.
