American Vintage Hosts Basile Pelletier’s New Exhibition

American Vintage, Paris

Every season, American Vintage commits to promote young artists. To do so, the French brand partners with major events such as the International Festival of Fashion, Photography and Accessories in Hyères or Nit de l’Art in Palma de Mallorca. This support takes various forms: exhibitions in AMV flagships, artistic collaborations displayed in the storefronts, commission work with designers, or even financial endowments, thus asserting its role with the new generation of artists.

In this context, Basile Pelletier, winner of the American Vintage Photography Award 2024 at the 39th edition of the Hyères Festival, presents an exclusive exhibition. Entitled “A time to live”, his photographic series was inaugurated last night in one of the Parisian boutiques of the brand, rue Vieille-du-Temple. The artist explores the boundaries between documentary and fiction, and stages the people he met during his stay in Taiwan in mundane or imaginary sets. They thus become the narrators of intimate and personal stories.

At the opening, alongside the artist, we met Enzo Lefort, Tanguy Onakoy, Souleymane Bachir Diaw
