American Vintage Celebrates its 20th Anniversary
Behind the American name hides a French success story. Founded in 2005 by Michaël Azoulay, American Vintage rapidly built up an international reputation by offering a comprehensive wardrobe made of striking materials and colours. The brand now boasts nearly 200 physical stores worldwide. To celebrate its 20th anniversary, the Marseille-based label is presenting an immersive tour in 6 cities over the year, from Europe to Asia to the United States. Naturally, the first stop on this tour had to be the fashion capital. The programme included the screening of an exclusive documentary on the history of AMV and its founder, Michaël Azoulay, and the label unveiled a brand-new anniversary collection for adults and cool kids. Guests enjoyed a dance performance based on the “20 YEARS” collection, as well as the best of Marseille’s food scene and many workshops to personalise the iconic AMV T-shirt.
The evening was enlivened by DJ sets from SOL & Naomi Clément, and we met many friends of the brand, including Léna Mahfouf, Sébastien Frit, Hugo Riboulet, Ambra Cotti, Gian Maria Sainato, Carmen Jorda, Lara Bussmann, Jorgann Couzinet, Lisa & Pauline Germaneau, Jefferson Lee Joseph and many others.
