Sitting front row at Alexandre Vauthier Haute Couture with Céline Dion
Even several minutes after the finale of Alexandre Vauthier’s haute couture S/S19 show, the atmosphere in Paris’ Grand Palais still felt electric. Guests—namely Celine Dion, undisputed Fashion Week phenomenon—were still starry-eyed (…or were those Swarovski crystals?). “Alexandre Vauthier makes you want to dream and to wear his designs—and it’s very difficult things to do both at the same time” was Carine Roitfeld’s off-the-cuff reaction. (Her loyalty to the French designer is well-known.) Once more, Alexandre Vauthier showed this season that he masters the balance between highly codified haute couture and the ultra-contemporary identity of the woman he designs for. Chiara Ferragni, Kristina Bazan, Fiona Zanetti and Iris Mittenaere were all present in the front row.
