Alessandra Rich Rethinks Gender Clichés
If we had to sum up Alessandra Rich’s collection in one word, it would certainly be sensuality. The Alessandra Rich woman is strong, sensual, very feminine and her wardrobe rethinks all classics of the genre: tweed, lace, Claudine collars, leather, corsets, boas and even oversized diamond earrings. The Rich woman is sensual and sophisticated, yet she allows herself some streetwear deviations like wearing mini-shorts and a black fleece top that would betray her if they weren’t also very sexy. Finally, leather. In the form of a silhouette made of a large black snake coat wrapping a lace bodysuit, it seems to embody the essence of Alexandra Rich: no gender cliché is really worth anything unless it is taken to the extreme.
