Alexandra Golovanoff’s Russian New Year

As close (as possible) to the Eiffel Tower, the Parisian apartment of the journalist and now fashion designer Alexandra Golovanoff has raised the colours of Russia high by hosting a new year caviar/champagne in the purest Slavic tradition. And the event not only celebrated Haute Couture shows, the host also took the opportunity to present her second collection of cashmere knitwear – discovered a few weeks earlier in her corner at Bon Marché Rive Gauche. “These sweaters are knitted in Mauritius. The cashmere thread is from Scotland. I chose the colors to match your eyes, your hair, your skin. It is the cosmetic sweater, the knitwear that makes beautiful”: words from the designer that wonderfully define the DNA of the young brand, which wants to produce chic and comfortable basics that can be declined to all the personalities of the city-light. Friends, collaborators and figures of the press met in the creator’s salon for this double-use dinner, without forgetting the handful of men perfectly prepared for the great cold in the rooms house. Emmanuelle Alt, Sophie Fontanel, Julie de Libran, Vanessa Seward, Miroslava Duma and Aurélie Bidermann were present.
