Again and again, Chaumet is a party

There was something magical in the air this Sunday evening at the Musée des arts forains in Paris. At the opening of Parisian haute couture week, Chaumet presented its new haute joaillerie collection in a 100% festive atmosphere, just like the fairgrounds of our childhood and with a retro aesthetic touch. And for good reason, his collection called “Chaumet est une fête” is a celebration of all those moments of happiness and enchantment that the jeweller has been accompanying for decades. A Parisian house par excellence (which has not left Place Vendôme since 1907), she invited her friends from the capital and elsewhere to celebrate the event with them. Many well-known faces of cinema and the performing arts, such as Clémence Poésy, Bérénice Bejo, Valérie Donzelli or Michel Hazanavicius, have joined the muses of contemporary Paris, from Jeanne Damas to Camille Charriere, to come back to childhood for a ride. The collection, embodied by models on a carousel decorated with moving mirrors, awakened all the senses in an intoxicating visual whirlwind, while the music – the true leitmotif of the evening – carried the guests away in a sweet festive madness. A celebration, a scene of a Paris with a beating heart, that one could not help imagining immortalized in the pages of Ernest Hemingway’s “Paris is a party”.
