“Metamorphosis” themes the 2019 AD Intérieurs exhibition

AD Intérieurs—an annual exhibition series from AD magazine—has chosen metamorphosis as the theme for its tenth edition. Hosted this year at the Hôtel de Coulanges, it’s a venue that itself has much metamorphosed: it dates from the 17th-century, and was bought by the city of Paris in 1972. Today, the structure (now called the House of Europe) showcases collaborative talents in fashion and design, with a future space anticipated for spring 2020. Within this brut context, AD magazine gave carte blanche to thirteen interior decorators, including Laura Gonzalez (Maison & Objet’s “designer of the year”), Fabrizio Casiraghi, Pierre Bonnefille, Festen (Charlotte de Tonnac and Hugo Sauzay) and Hannes Peer. Guests, including Emmanuel Perrotin, Johan Creten, Sarah Andelman, Simon Porte Jacquemus and Pierre-Ange Carlotti, explored the exceptional and diverse rooms, on view between September 4-20.
