Across The Flame: A Celebration of Resilience by Gaurav Gupta
At the height of Paris Haute Couture Week, Gaurav Gupta took over the Bridge Club to present his Spring-Summer 25/26 collection. Named “Across The Flame”, the collection is inspired by the near-death experience of the couturier and his partner Navkirat Sodhi, who recently suffered an accident. Reflecting on their recovery journey, almost to the point of resurrection, the collection highlights the power of resilience and transformation.
The collection feels like a projection of themselves, similar to an out-of-body experience that Gupta and Sodhi underwent during their journey. The concepts of levitation and transcendence permeate the entire collection, shaping its aesthetic based on philosophical considerations. With its vibrant ochre colour, the “Twin Flame” set embodies the couple’s dual spirit and symbolizes the life-changing impact of their shared hardships and achievements.
