Paris Men’s Fashion Week: Robyn and Zara Larsson sit front row at Acne Studios
Jonny Johansson isn’t afraid of the word “conceptual”. The creative director of Acne Studios presented his men’s and women’s collections during Men’s Fashion Week in Paris. While many houses have combined their collections into a single mixed show, Acne Studios challenged the trend by choosing to show its new silhouettes simultaneously, but separated by a large white wall. Guests had to literally pick sides (a tough decision!) before taking their place in the rows installed inside the Carousel of the Louvre. Say Who slipped into the “women’s side” with Robyn, Christine and The Queens (clearly cultivating their Franco-Swedish friendship), superstar Zara Larsson, or supermodel Liya Kebede sitting front row. On the runway, Jonny Johansson interpreted the history of clothing (or clothing in history) for women, skillfully bringing the past into the present. On the other side of the mirror, his men’s collection was inspired by the future and fueled by Robbie Barrat’s algorithms – the true definition of a “timeless” collection!
