Freedom, equality, Gaultier. Arriving last night at the Hôtel de Béhague in the 7th arrondissement of Paris, we had to expect an evening of anthology organized by Jean-Paul Gaultier and PUIG. On the occasion of the launch of the new fragrance Scandal, the terrible child of fashion invested the grandiose place for an evening in the purest spirit of decadence, against a backdrop of political satire. A few hours before the event, we had been able to follow the take-over of the top Vanessa Axente on the Instagram @jpgaultierofficial account, and discover the watchword of the evening #BeScandal, elevated to the rank of political demand posted on the walls of Paris. Nobody would have missed this cabaret-like evening where we met a Catherine Baba very in her element, Marilou Berry, Ines Rau or Bianca Li put in leg by the dancers of the Manko troupe and Igor Dewe. Between leaf-stripping by Allanah Starr, dominating performers, and even a mutinous maid on the multicoloured dancefloor, the evening did not hide her penchants for epicurean pleasure – just like the bottle with its two enticing legs. A politically incorrect evening that cannot be refused, just like the latest Jean-Paul Gaultier perfume.
