A Lesson in Style and Authenticity from Giorgio Armani

Armani Teatro, Milan

When it comes to fashion, Giorgio Armani is always a safe bet. His name and style have become synonymous with Italian fashion and a symbol of Milan Fashion Week for the rest of the world. Almost to highlight the concept, the Fall-Winter 25/26 show is entitled Radici (roots in Italian) and is a full immersion in the universe of the Maison. Even the setting of the huge theatre shrouded in darkness is part of the experience. Guests are seated on circular chairs equipped with tables lit by lamps, all by Armani Casa.

On the catwalk, the designer reaffirms his aesthetics, that signature informal rigour, but he doesn’t stop there. He actually reinterprets his language through unexpected colour choices, focusing on warm earth tones, golden beiges and intense notes of brown that fade into green, in addition to the inevitable greige. The choices of materials are tactile as well as aesthetic and include velvets, cashmere and jacquard silks. The evening is a lesson in contemporary elegance. The dresses, light and impalpable, are enriched with sparkling crystal embroidery that makes them delicately precious. The many famous ladies applauding their hero, including Lily James, Margherita Buy, Vittoria Puccini, Pilar Fogliati, Francesca Fagnani and Emanuela Fanelli.
