Le Bon Marché celebrates duos with “À Deux C’est Mieux”
Le Bon Marché Rive Gauche brought double the fun to Paris Fashion Week with a celebration of their current exhibition “A Deux, c’est mieux” or “two is better than one.” The iconic Left Bank store’s “Better Together” exhibition is celebrating duos through April 19th with creative displays throughout the store and exclusive collaborations with brands and designers. From creative duos to parents and their children, romantic couples and product pairings, the ultra-positive “Just Deux It” mindset has taken over every corner of the store. From Fendi and Celine to Lululemon, several brands are offering exclusive products or collections at this creative ode to every type of pairing. On day – what else? – TWO of Paris Fashion Week, Le Bon Marché’s chairman and CEO Patrice Wagner joined guests of honor Morgane Sézalory, founder of Sézane and Morgane Ortin of “Amours Solitaires” fame, for a vibrant evening celebrating terrific twosomes complete with cocktails by the shop’s own partner-in-chic the Grand Epicerie Paris. The famous French department store transformed by night into a giant party with a DJ set and dance floor downstairs and upstairs, a quick escape to the “Hôtel Sézane,” the brand’s first-floor takeover designed as an Italian vacation destination complete with a Café, a Gelateria, post office with postcards and a letter box, photo booth and boutique selling limited edition products. Further upstairs, Lola James Harper’s music studio let guests live their rock star fantasies. In the center of the store, a huge balloon displayed messages of love handpicked by Morgane Ortin, founder of “Amours Solitaires,” an Instagram phenomenon turned book and social movement that explores sentimentality in the digital era. Kristina Bazan, Diane Rouxel, Zita Hanrot, Monica Ainley de la Villardière and Andy Picci were among the stylish guests who enjoyed music from Polo & Pan that kept everyone dancing late into the evening.
