Perrotin Puts Nikki Maloof, Chiffon Thomas and Jean-Philippe Delhomme in the Spotlight
From November 23th, Perrotin presents three solo exhibitions by artists Nikki Maloof, Chiffon Thomas and Jean-Philippe Delhomme.
Around the clock is Nikki Maloof’s first solo exhibition in Paris with the gallery, exploring the diversity and complexity of material and sensory life. Each of the domestic scenes depicted shows the depths of everyday life to share an intimate world of joys, hopes and fears.
For his first solo show in Europe, American artist Chiffon Thomas presents Ribbon Sharp, a series of pieces that take an interdisciplinary approach to art, incorporating sculpture, collage and drawing, often composed of reclaimed wood, concrete, bronze and stained glass. The show features a dozen new sculptures and an immersive installation, examining the fusion of anatomical forms with architectural structures.
Model Resting, Jean-Philippe Delhomme’s new solo show, continues to explore a subtle reflection on human presence and the authenticity of the gaze. The exhibition is organized around portraits and still lifes, and examines the representation of the model at rest in the studio.
Over a Perrier Jouët coupe and cocktails from Bar Paris, the three artists were joined by Emmanuel Perrotin, and we had the pleasure of meeting Mathilde Denize, Anitra Lourie, Léa de la Bouralière, Anna Mehrhardt, Samuel Boutruche, Hervé Mikaeloff, Simon Buret, Nadia Candet, Nathalie Lété and Ilana Savdie, among others.
