Galerie Enrico Navarra Pays Tribute to Keith Haring’s Techno-Primitive Iconography

Following “Résonance”, “Jean-Michel Basquiat & l’Univers Kongo”, Galerie Gradiva and Galerie Enrico Navarra are presenting “Keith Haring, Techno-Primitive Iconography” from October 16th to December 14th. The use of two gallery spaces is essential to allow visitors to explore Keith Haring’s interest in primal arts and ancient cultures while reflecting the artist’s concerns, which had to do with topical issues like the impact of technology and the challenges ahead. Haring creates a dynamic tension between tradition and modernity through a distinct iconography blending ancestral motifs, postmodern visions, and elements of science fiction, all imbued with reflections on humanity’s future. The exhibition features a selection of over 70 artworks, including masks, sculptures, paintings, objects, and terracotta pieces, illustrating the unique dialogue that the artist establishes between ritual and the technological world.

During the exhibition opening, we met Gil Vazquez, Tony Shafrazi, ORLAN, Doriano Navarra, Charlotte Ketabi, Paul Bourdet, among many others.
