Constance Tenvik x Munch, scarves and gloves become museum pieces
The Munch Museum in Oslo – yes, the one that houses the iconic The Scream – makes its debut at Milan Fashion Week with The Artist Edition project, set up at the Royal Palace on the occasion of the exhibition “Edvard Munch: The Inner Scream.”
Guest star: Norwegian artist Constance Tenvik, who created two hand-drawn silk scarves and gloves featuring designs inspired by jacquard tapestries. The 34-year-old will present these works on September 28 at Oslo’s museum as part of the Solo Oslo series. One of the two scarves showcases male figures dressed as birds, while the other draws inspiration from the twelve gods of Olympus and Aristophanes’ comedy The Birds. Each piece has been meticulously hand-drawn by Tenvik, turning her creations into unique, unrepeatable works of art.
During the presentation of The Artist Edition, accompanied by the sounds of New York electronic flutist Concrete Husband, many figures from the worlds of art, fashion, and creativity took the stage. Alongside Constance were Helen Nonini, Chiara Canali, Mauro Simionato, Sara Waka and Eva Che. An exclusive cocktail party, organized by Giacomo Caffè Letterario, added to the event’s pleasant and refined atmosphere. Everything was perfectly aligned with the quality of the project, which united art and fashion into one.
