The American Vintage Boutique Hosts a New Photography Exhibition
As an official partner of the International Festival of Fashion, Photography and Accessories – Hyères since 2017, American Vintage awarded Souleymane Bachir Diaw with the Photography Prize last year. To celebrate the opening of the new cultural season, the Senegalese visual artist has teamed up with Stéven Coëffic, who received the jury’s special mention in the earlier edition. American Vintage brings them together in an unprecedented exhibition held at the heart of the label’s iconic boutique, located on Rue de Charonne. By combining their creative forces, the two artists are delivering a quite unique experience, where Souleymane Bachir Diaw’s photographs are highlighted against Stéven Coëffic’s scenography – building a bridge between land and sea.
Throughout the whole year, the Marseilles-based label supports young, emerging creators working in the fields of photography and design through various partnerships, such as the International Festival of Fashion, Photography and Accessories – Hyères.
At the exhibition opening, we met award-winner Souleymane Bachir Diaw and designer Stéven Coëffic, alongside Théo Le Foll, Jonathan Hayden and Sofiia Manousha.
