Passionate advocate of local craftsmanship, Rahul Mishra is one of the spearheads of Indian fashion. For those in the know, his work made a splash at previous Paris Fashion Weeks. Invited by Tod’s for a capsule collection, he set his sights on three main pieces: the Gommino moccasin, the T bag and the Di bag. Nothing predestined this young native of northern India to embrace fashion, as his parents wanted him to become an engineer. But once his homework was done, he would spend his time watching his mother, who was sewing her own clothes. After a science degree, he went on to attend the National Institute of Design, where he developed his taste for clothing and design. A stint at Istituto Marangoni in 2007, followed by the launch of his brand in 2008, laid the foundations for a now-famous name, all the more so since the radiant Zendaya called on his services! Like a bouquet of flowers, each of his creations is a feast for the eyes and an unrivalled pleasure to hold, as the textures are so pleasant to touch. He is like a goldsmith, sewing his creations with the threads of success and using an impressive yardage of yarn. The meticulousness of his work is truly astounding.
