Lewis Hamilton and IWC Schaffhausen are gearing up. The British Grand Prix at Silverstone is just around the corner (save the date for July 7th), and the Swiss brand and the driver have taken the opportunity to celebrate ten years of friendship and partnership. How? With a cruise.
The luxury watch maison, the Official Technical Partner of the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One team since 2013, invited the seven-time world champion on a trip along the Thames, passing some of London’s most famous landmarks, including Tower Bridge, the Shard, Tate Modern Gallery, Big Ben, and the London Eye. The journey started from Butler’s Wharf pier and ended at the Battersea Power Station, where IWC opened a boutique in 2022.
On the yacht, King Richard wore the Pilot’s Watch Performance Chronograph 41 Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One™ Team (Ref. IW388306) in Ceratanium® with a black dial. He recalled some of the most memorable moments of his ten years as an IWC brand ambassador: from racing against a fighter jet to driving with a thousand drones in the sky over Las Vegas. In short, this is a collaboration that will continue to inspire watch and Formula 1 enthusiasts with a spectacular blend of style and precision.
