Back in 2021, Porsche summoned French artist Cyril Lancelin to create the very first installation for its global art initiative “The Art of Dreams”, presented at the Palais Galliera in Paris. The sixth instalment of the project, freshly unveiled at the 2024 Design Parade Festival in Hyères, is the result of a collaboration with Thomas Trum, whose work is best epitomised by the use of unconventional tools to create spectacular large-scale paintings in a vibrant colour palette. “The Land of Dreams” is a tribute to the lavender hues that make up the natural environment of southern France, where the Villa Noailles is nestled. Inspired by the eponymous colour of the latest electric Porsche Macan, Trum’s work blends seamlessly into the landscape, whether land or sea.
