Marble Statues from the Torlonia Collection Displayed at the Musée du Louvre

From June 26th to November 11th, 2024, the Musée du Louvre brings together its collections and the Torlonia marble statues, the most important private collection of ancient Roman sculpture to date.

Held in the summer apartments of Anne of Austria, which just reopened after two years of renovation, the exhibition explores the origins of museums and the taste for Antiquity.

The exhibition invites visitors to admire these unquestioned jewels of Roman art and to deep dive into the origins of museum history, into the Europe of the Enlightenment and into the 19th century.
