Design Parade Festival 2024 Kicks Off

The Design Parade Festival is a yearly must-attend event for architecture and design and every summer, it introduces us to the personalities shaping the architecture of tomorrow. Through a program that is not only diverse and sophisticated but also free and open to all, the renowned festival, founded and directed by Jean-Pierre Blanc and chaired by Pascale Mussard, is the ideal place for discovering young talents. Organised in two parts since 2016, this year is the 18th edition of the International Design Festival in Hyères and the 8th edition of its more recent counterpart, the International Festival of Interior Design in Toulon. Taking place simultaneously from June 27th to 30th, these two events consist of a series of exhibitions, conferences, panel discussions, and book signing sessions, with their respective award ceremonies at the end.

On June 27th, the Villa Noailles inaugurated the Festival in Hyères at the Grand Parvis with a speech by Jean-Pierre Blanc alongside Mathieu Lehanneur, who is presenting the exhibition “The Torch of the Olympic and Paralympic Games” as part of the Hyères Design Parade. After the speech, visitors were able to explore the newly inaugurated exhibitions at various locations like the Villa Noailles (47 Montée Noailles), L’Annexe (26 Rue de Verdun, Hyères), and the Tour des Templiers (Place Massillon, Hyères). Among the guests were Rodolphe Parente, Hervé Lemoine, Thomas Mailaender, Gilbert Kann, Dan Thawley, Mathieu Lehanneur, Anne Racine, India Mahdavi, Jean-Charles de Castelbajac, Marion Mailaender, and Ronan Bouroullec, among others.
