Ellen von Unwerth’s New Sultry Book by Taschen
Although we are all well familiar with her photographic work, we sometimes forget that Ellen von Unwerth was once a model. She drew a unique lesson from this experience, which has granted her snapshots a highly alluring look. At a signing ceremony at Taschen in Paris, a brand-new series of images with an erotic-Bavarian aesthetic, collected in a book entitled Heimat (which means Fatherland in German, her home country), shed a sultry light on a region where outfits tend to be rather conservative. During the evening, we crossed paths with Gaspard Noé, Catherine Baba, Chantal Thomass and Ali Mahdavi.
