As an ode to brutalism, minerality and refinement, Not A Hotel is not your traditional hotel. It’s more of a complex made of 3 villas located on the remote island of Sagishima, in Japan, which bring Scandinavian design and Japanese tradition together to offer a stay focused on sustainable development. Designed by the famous group of architects Bjarke Ingles, the villas are named according to the view they offer, which varies depending on their location on the island. Built with rammed earth, as per usual in the region, floors with natural slates, traditional Japanese baths, infinity pools and solar roof tiles, this new kind of holiday resort could cause a sensation.
