A Stunning Walk Up the Steps for the Opening Ceremony of the 2024 Cannes Film Festival
Tuesday 14th marked the official opening of the 77th Cannes Film Festival, a memorable event with Meryl Streep as its undisputed star. Thirty-five years after her last appearance on the Croisette, the American actress made her comeback to receive an honorary Palme d’Or, bestowed by the no less iconic Juliette Binoche. Starring on the red carpet were Louis Garrel, Léa Seydoux, Vincent Lindon and Raphaël Quenard, the cast of Quentin Dupieux’s latest film, Le Deuxième Acte. This out-of-competition film, which premiered at the Grand Théâtre Lumière the same evening, explores the complexity of human relationships through the confrontation of four characters in a restaurant located in the middle of nowhere, needless to say, all in Dupieux’s signature comedy style.
