The Dreamy Mouth “Gufram in Motion”
“I dreamed of your lips” reads on the flyers for “The Lips Party,” held at the Red Room disco club for the launch party for “Gufram in motion – La Bocca è Mobile”. The evening also featured a performance inspired by the theme of kissing curated by Alessandra Boschiello, Giulia Lastella, and Emanuele Algeri.
Gufram, the brand known for radical design, and Motionitalia, renowned for its research into innovative mechanisms for furniture, have brought to life an animated version of the famous Bocca® sofa, turning it into an interactive design piece that smiles and kisses, showing a new level of expressiveness in furniture. The installation will remain open to the public in the Sala degli Specchi at Palazzo Litta until April 21, offering all visitors the chance to see the Bocca® sofa in action up close.
A performance in the Sala degli Specchi at Palazzo Litta marked the inauguration of the installation, where a performer in the role of singer and conductor performed the madrigal “Con che soavità, labbra adorate” by Claudio Monteverdi, an icon of Italian Renaissance music. The Bocca® sofa by Studio 65, placed on an ideal stage reminiscent of an imaginary Italian theater, duetted with its partner in a surreal interaction that established an exciting dialogue between the present and the past.
