Elica’s “Extraordinary” Vision at Palazzo Litta

Between gradients of colour and materials in motion, space expands and time stops in the installation that Elica, a leading company in the field of innovative design specialising in kitchen appliances, presented for Design Week. “Extraordinary” is the space presented at Palazzo Litta by Toshiya Hayashi and Hokuto Ando, curated by Marcello Smarrelli and in collaboration with the Ermanno Casoli Foundation. At the centre of the iconic little Baroque courtyard, the bright colours chosen by the Japanese duo of studio we+ create a contrast with the surrounding environment and invite the viewer to discover the installation, which is inspired by the lightness of clouds, creating an ethereal and magical space.

This environment transforms the concepts of air and heat into a tangible and visually captivating structure, in dialogue with the values of Elica’s design, a line of continuity that inspired the company’s stand “Eurocucina” at the Salone del Mobile.

“Extraordinary” is open to the public for the duration of Milan Design Week from April 15 to 21, allowing visitors from around the world to immerse themselves in a dimension that blends nature, technology, and art into a new vision of architecture.
