Inspired by art and the Renaissance, the latest jewel from Auberge Resorts Collection is The Collegio alla Querce in Florence, designed by Esteva i Esteva, an award-winning group of Spanish architects. The hotel, nestled amidst baroque gardens overlooking the Tuscan capital on one side and the hills of Chianti on the other, will feature 82 rooms, including 61 guestrooms, 20 suites, and a 2,250-square-foot signature suite. Moreover, among the many amenities of the resort is a spectacular outdoor pool, a wine tasting room, a wellness center, a fitness center, a boutique, and even an art gallery. There will also be a restaurant, a glass-enclosed garden room among the olive trees for daytime dining, a sophisticated bar, a cigar lounge, and a poolside bar offering light snacks and cocktails. The Spanish architects were chosen to preserve the original character of the structure – a group of 16th-century UNESCO heritage buildings – while infusing it with a touch of contemporaneity. Speaking of the present, the highly anticipated opening is scheduled for 2024.
