A Tale Of Cosmopolitan beauty on the SaraWong catwalk
The SaraWong autumn winter 2024 collection is intended as a manifesto of beauty with deep and complex hints. Following her style path, characterized by the clash between retro and contemporaneity, the Chinese designer with a cosmopolitan background is inspired by one of the messages expressed in the poem Auguries Of Innocence by William Blake, that is, the ability to grasp the immensity of Universe even in seemingly insignificant details. She combines this concept with the cultural richness of the Silk Road to create a fashion experience that celebrates the connection between the microcosm and the macrocosm, the limited and the infinite. The textures and patterns that alternated on the catwalk evoke a deep connection with tnatural elements. Inter alia, the floral prints are inspired by the four flowers that can be found on the murals of the Dunhuang caves, along the Silk Road, peony, pomegranate flower, poinsettia and honeysuckle, which represent the resilience of women.
