The opening of the Max Brown Missori in Milan, by Max Brown Hotels, not only marks the arrival of a new boutique hotel in the heart of the city of Milan but also represents the beginning of an extraordinary collaboration: that between the new hotel brand which is owned by Sircle Collection, a management and development company based in Amsterdam, and Saar Zafrir. Known for his playful approach to hospitality, the Dutch interior designer worked closely with the in-house design team, to give life to the new Max Brown Missori: a vibrant and optimistic hotel with 64 rooms (many overlooking the famous Garage delle Nazioni) a stone’s throw from the Duomo. What inspired Saar above all was the atmosphere of the 70s, a decade characterized by energy, the true trademark of the entire project. Saar Zafrir created a perfect cocktail where the spaces mixed with warm colors and vintage or stylish details (each room is embellished with objects such as colored SMEG kettles or Crosley record players), giving life to a welcoming and fashionable atmosphere capable to best convey all the Milanese essence. However, the collaboration was not limited only to aesthetic design, but also embraced principles of sustainability and social responsibility. With a keen eye on reusing materials and reducing waste, the creative team redesigned the structure using restored original furniture and donating unused items to local charities such as Casa della Speranza. Liran Wizman, founder and owner of Sircle Collection, praised the collaboration, calling it a union between charm and intimacy. And we can only confirm the assumption. By Germano D’Acquisto
