KidSuper’s Cosmic Threads
There’s no stopping Colm Dillane. Each season, the American fashion designer pushes the boundaries of so-called elementary laws, unveiling a new dimension of his creative universe. There is, however, one principle he adheres to and proves right: where there’s a will, there’s a way. Turning a Fashion Show into an auction, a stand-up comedy show or even a theatre play – you name it! When Colm Dillane sets his mind to something, no matter how far-fetched it may sound, rest assured, he will deliver. His latest stunt: having Brazilian football star Ronaldinho on the catwalk sporting one of the looks of his autumn-winter 24/25 collection. The show opened with the first model dancing across the podium and was closed with a performance-like piece, as the last model’s garment (whose threads were still attached to a wall) unfolded as he walked across the stage. Introduced by an extract written by his father and titled “String Theory”, KidSuper’s show was a manifesto of Colm Dillane’s vision, evoking all elements that make up the core of the label, that is New York street style, art, sport and music. The collaborative and diverse nature of the label was also reflected in pieces from its latest collaboration with Canada Goose, as well as those from KidSuper’s forthcoming collaboration with the Brooklyn Nets. The show was attended by a host of celebrities, including Dinos, Baptiste Giabiconi, Tyrone Dylan Susman, Gunna, Trippie Redd, Kennedy Eurich, Sarah Andelman, Willy Cartier, Ton Wayne…
