Disney turns a century. And to properly celebrate the important anniversary, he decided to create a series of 25 limited edition pianos together with Steinway & Sons, a leading company in the sector. Each of these musical instruments is inspired by the main character of the American house:  Mickey Mouse. The pianos  are all hand painted and were  created by Italian designer Elena Salmistraro. The Steinway x Disney: Mickey Mouse managed to. achieve a feat that is anything but obvious: mixing timeless art and extravagant charm to create a jewel both for the eyes, for the ears and above all for the  heart. “I have been infected by Mickey Mouse’s lively character and cheerfulness since she was a little girl,” says Salmistraro. “The white piano background brings to mind the drawing board on which Mickey Mouse was originally created one hundred years ago, while the rich, colorful tones energize his unmistakable characteristics. The blue hue then represents the movement of the music around him, coming together across the rivers of gold to create a symphony of sound.” Programmed with 100 songs to commemorate the century, the Steinway x Disney: Mickey Mouse Limited Edition piano holds in its inside a selection of musical pieces.
