MOËT & CHANDON x Daniel Arsham: An Artistic Tribute to Collection Impériale Création N°1

In a quest to converge fine art and the art of winemaking, and to celebrate its 280th anniversary, Moët & Chandon invited Daniel Arsham – a contemporary American artist – to interpret Chef de Cave Benoît Gouez’s idea of Haute Oenologie by reinterpreting the exceptional anniversary cuvée: Collection Impériale Création N°1.

Drawing on elements from his visit to the Moët & Chandon vineyards and stained glass, Daniel Arsham has transposed his signature artistic principle, which is rooted in the notion of erosion and its effect on artworks over time, to sublimate the bottle of the Collection Impériale, transforming it into a sculptural piece. This monumental work weaves a modern narrative by encapsulating the House’s heritage in a work of art.

Inspired by its relief, he has also designed 70 limited-edition bottles – three-dimensional capsules that will serve as a showcase for special pieces from the Impériale Création N°1 Collection.

Benoît Gouez plans to release a new creation every two years until the brand’s 300th anniversary.
