Casablanca Celebrates Nigerian Youth
Year after year, collection after collection, Charaf Tajer writes a new chapter in Fashion with a capital ‘F’. Through his designs, the French-Moroccan visionary at the helm of Casablanca showcases the diversity of the African continent and its potential as an endless source of inspiration. Always imbued with a touch of nostalgia and with an emphasis on sportswear and uniforms, this autumn’s collection bears plenty of references to Nigeria and its rich culture. Among them, we notice pearls and nets signifying the work of fishermen, and biker jackets evoking the central role of two-wheelers in the continent’s culture. Regarding the palette, it transports us into a magnificent sunset that warms up our hearts as if we were bathed in golden-hour sunshine.
