We all know the basics of the Schiap look: impeccably tailored garments in a black-and-white palette, complemented by eccentric jewellery with surrealist influences. And yet, it keeps on seducing and surprising us, just like it did from the very beginning. For this spring-summer 24 ready-to-wear collection, Daniel Rossenbery confirms he is the legitimate heir of Elsa Schiaparelli’s legacy. It may be a ready-to-wear line (we even spotted an unprecedented sneaker!), but it did the trick, just as it always does, it completely won us over softly plunging us into the Maison’s dreamy universe. Models made their entrance at the Italian embassy as if fantastic creatures emerging from the mythical lost city of Atlantis. The new Schiaparelli silhouette is adorned with sparkling golden shells, molluscs and crustaceans. This collection, entitled “An Everyday Sensation”, is an ode to the Maison’s heritage and it pays a special tribute to the philosophy that gave it birth: to make everyday life exceptional. Elsa Schiaparelli’s creative drive is as vibrant as ever, continually inspiring us to dream alongside her legacy.
