Keen collaborates with Hiking Patrol and together they reissue the iconic Keen Jasper model, which celebrates its 15th anniversary in 2023 in its popular Jasper “Rocks” version, which combines the comfort of outdoor shoes with the stylistic research of sneakers. Keen is a footwear brand born in Portland in 2003 after years of research by artisans and designers who love the outdoors, and caters to those who love to hike new trails and explore the world between seas and mountains to find themselves connected to nature and community. The footwear comes in two new colors, Cuban Beige and Phantasmal Red, inspired by the coat of two small frogs, called Tree Frog and Phanstasmal Poison Frog, which inhabit tropical forests and are endangered. In fact, part of the proceeds from the collaboration will be donated to EOCA (European Outdoor Conservation Association) to protect these species that help regulate the algae blooms they feed on, as well as prevent water contamination in the ecosystem where they live.
