This year, we celebrate the 70th anniversary of Blancpain’s legendary “50 fathoms”. It was one of the first professional diving watches, praised for its ability to endure water at depths of up to 50 fathoms. Following the unabated success of its collaborations with Omega and MoonSwatch, the SWATCH group, owner of these brands, has launched a bioceramic version of the mythical 50 fathoms. This new version is equipped with the Swatch calibre known as “SISTEM51”, a simple automatic calibre first launched 10 years ago and composed of 51 elements, which is a perfect fit for this timepiece.
