Giorgio Armani Ties Up in Venice to Celebrate Cinema
Back in 1990, the world premiere of Marin Scorsese’s documentary film “Made in Milan” was presented at the Venice Film Festival. This weekend, to mark the 80th edition of the festival, King Giorgio decided to anchor the seventh “One Night Only” on the canals of the Serenissima. The fashion show featured a selection of pieces from the Privè spring-summer 23 collection, presented by the designer in Paris the past January, and was held at the Tese delle Nappe. The celebrities in attendance included Sophia Loren, godmother of the evening, who was seated in the front row with her son, but also American divas like Jessica Chastain and Kerry Washington, whom King Giorgio loves to dress, as well as the new generation of Hollywood stars including Sadie Sink, Camila Mendes, Sydney Sweeney and Lili Reinhart, ambassador for Armani Beauty (one of the Venice Film Festival’s sponsors). It was a memorable evening that retraced Armani’s career and his unique relationship with cinema.
