Agostino Iacurci x Hermès, the Milanese Boutique Like a Dream Theater

Heads, hands, clouds, wiry animals, bright corals and trees invade the windows of the Hermès shop in via Montenapoleone 12 until September. Thanks to the artist Agostino Iacurci and his installation Four Landscapes plus one. The four windows act as a theater for a magical landscape, made up of plant elements in painted wood and iron and architectural elements from which anthropomorphic figures emerge that welcome the classic Hermès objects. The luminous profiles cross the various windows, acting as a common thread between the various dreamlike and colorful environments. The landscape then borders in graphic form on the windows of the two upper floors of the building and in sculptural form also inside the shop. The “plus one” of the title refers in fact to the site-specific sculpture presented inside the boutique. Originally from Puglia, born in 1986, Iacurci has always mixed painting, sculpture and scenography. He loves to collect heterogeneous materials and then rework them to his imagination. “It is in this way – he explains – that I generate visions in which history, personal memories and literal references merge into a single narrative”.
