The world of sailing inspires the new collaboration between Tudor and Alinghi Red Bull Racing. The result is enclosed in two new models of Pelagos FXD watches, which reflect the courageous spirit of sailors who venture into the most legendary regattas in history. These two new jewels have a real guiding spirit: the AC75 of Alinghi Red Bull Racing, a legendary boat, which represents the spearhead of maritime engineering. The links between the two realities are many: both the cases of the precious timepieces and the hull of the boat are made with a patented combination of carbon, titanium and stainless steel. Then, the blue of the Alinghi Red Bull Racing team recalls the hull color of the AC75. And again: the seconds hands feature a red tip, while the chronograph model also has red stripes around the counters that recall the hull of the AC75. Another curiosity: the waterproof case up to 200 meters was developed in collaboration with divers and combat swimmers of the French Navy and features a robust design with fixed bars for attaching the strap. Last buy not least, the strap. Made in a fabric loop, it is signed by the historic Julien Faure company using 19th century jacquard looms. For the Pelagos FXD models, a super technical strap has been developed, which features a “Team Blue” jacquard fabric band with red details, a titanium “D” buckle and a hook and loop closure system.
