Longchamp collaborates with Toiletpaper reimagining Le Pliage with playful imagery, taking cues from French icons, such as the baguette and bulldog, and brand motifs, such as the galloping horse logo and the leather-covered pipe. The capsule consists of five original designs in a vitamin color palette of candy pink, light blue, and sunshine yellow. The images are reproduced on Le Pliage’s travel bag, mini-bag, tote and recycled polyester canvas clutch. Not only bags, but the capsule expands in a series of leather key rings and a silk ribbon branded Toiletchamplongpaper. “For Longchamp, the combination of fashion and art has always been an important source of inspiration. We were excited by the unique way Toiletpaper combines art, fashion and pop-culture references with a good dose of humor. We thought their bold aesthetic and light-hearted approach to life were in tune with Longchamp’s colorful and optimistic vision of luxury,” said Sophie Delafontaine, Artistic Director of the brand. The collection was shot in Toiletpaper’s studio in Milan, Italy, and each vibrant, hyper-realistic image was meticulously crafted to produce a surreal, humorous effect.
