LOEWE x Luca Guadagnino: The Art of the Garment

More than just a photoshoot, it is a short film. Under the title I Dreamt of LOEWE, this film by Luca Guadagnino does not only explore a few items of the collection but also its environments. Shot on David Zwirner’s premises around the Echolalia 2010 works by Austrian artist Franz West, the film shows clothed and nude models interacting at the heart of this new exhibition space. The pitch: while falling asleep on a couch, the model Isidori dreams of LOEWE, during which the characters perform theatrically to the rhythm of the music and sculptures. A clever way of elevating clothes to the status of art.
