The place is well worth the trip. Housed in the depths of a gigantic forest, this eco-lodge stands proudly encompassed by imposing trees. Its founders, Anne Caroline Frey and her husband, fell in love with this spot, located just a stone’s throw from the town of Tour. Nestled amidst nature, this cottage is in perfect harmony with its surroundings and the many creatures that inhabit it, which include wild boars, roe deers, hares, lots of rodents, birds… To enjoy this spectacular ecosystem, they installed the rooms at the height of the foliage, as close as possible to the sap. Chic, responsible, eco-designed wooden cabins. Both passionate about contemporary art, they conceived this project as a space that also serves as an open-air gallery for several artists, Philippe Pasqua being one of the best known. No matter where you look, the focus is set on reconnecting with nature, as wildly as possible. At the table, you can celebrate nature in the Michelin-starred restaurant by choosing one of two menus: one from the vegetable garden, the other from the forest. To round off the day, one can savour rich herbal teas while listening to the buzzing of the bees, whose pheromones increase your cravings tenfold. Each lodge has its special decor and a jacuzzi on the terrace, but no Wi-Fi. Reconnecting with nature while disconnecting: an almost necessary way to find yourself.
