Palm Angels presents its first fine jewellery collection, the product of a collaboration between Palm Angels’ founder Francesco Ragazzi and London jeweller Duffy. Their mutual love for precious jewellery capable of telling a story takes the form of this capsule collection composed of four unique pieces, which are for sale exclusively at the Melrose Avenue pop-up. “Both designers have transferred all their creativity into this joint project: Francesco suggested his world of symbols and colours and Duffy, in turn, favoured the use of precious metals, handcrafting each of the four objects with excellent craftsmanship in his London atelier,” reads the press release. Every piece of the collection is handmade and carries a name that references a rhetorical figure: the bracelets Oxymoron, are made with 18-carat gold and have a cross-bone motif; the Antithesis comes in 18-carat gold and silver along with coloured gemstones and a central snake motif; the necklace Pleasuredome, in 18-carat yellow and white gold, with bone and insect motifs adorned with sapphires, black and champagne-coloured diamonds; and the pendant Allegoria, in 18-carat yellow and white gold, with lacquered leaf motifs, a butterfly and a snake.”Creating a fine jewellery collection is a wish come true. I have always been fascinated by the goldsmith’s art, especially the ancientest one, where expert hands transferred their knowledge of ancient symbols through unique precious objects,” explained Francesco Ragazzi.
